About Gym Trainer

Gym Trainer is a fitness, workout, scheduling, recovery, nutrition, and client-management application developed and published by DefectiveRobot LLC.

The app provides separate experiences for clients, trainers, and Fitness Managers. Available features may include guided workouts, programs, session information, assessments, surveys, recovery tools, workout history, exercise numbers, body-composition information, goals, notes, and reports.

Information Entered in the App

Depending on the features used, Gym Trainer may allow users to enter or manage information such as:

  • Name, email address, screen name, or role.
  • Trainer and client assignments.
  • Workout programs, workout history, ratings, notes, and exercise numbers.
  • Session dates, times, status, package information, and payment-plan labels.
  • Fitness goals, training preferences, limitations, and equipment preferences.
  • Nutrition and body-composition information entered by the user.
  • Recovery information, sleep, stress, tight muscles, and warmup preferences.
  • Survey, assessment, and contact-request responses.

Users should only enter information they are authorized to provide.

Local Data Storage

The current app may store information locally on the user’s device so that app features, preferences, workout history, schedules, and other saved information remain available between sessions.

Local data may be removed if the app is deleted, the device is reset, or the user clears app data. DefectiveRobot LLC cannot recover locally stored information that has not been separately backed up or shared.

Sharing and Email Actions

Gym Trainer may provide buttons that allow a user to share workout information or open an email application. These actions occur only when initiated by the user.

Information sent through email, text messaging, a device share sheet, or another third-party service is handled according to the policies of the selected service.

Workout-sharing features are designed to exclude private exercise numbers, personal records, ratings, notes, and personal workout history unless the user deliberately includes that information.

Notifications

Gym Trainer may request permission to send fitness, nutrition, recovery, scheduling, or app-related reminders.

Notification permission is optional. Users may change notification preferences through the app or through the notification settings on their device.

External Links and Media

The app may include links to exercise videos, websites, email applications, app-store pages, or other external services.

DefectiveRobot LLC does not control the content, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites and services. Users should review the privacy policies of those services before providing information.

Health and Fitness Information

Gym Trainer may allow users to enter fitness, nutrition, recovery, body-composition, or wellness information. This information is used to support the features selected by the user.

Gym Trainer does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Users should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise, nutrition, or recovery program.

Data Sales and Advertising

DefectiveRobot LLC does not sell personal information entered into Gym Trainer.

The current app is not designed to use personal fitness, nutrition, recovery, session, or assessment information for targeted advertising.

Children’s Privacy

Gym Trainer is not directed to children under 13. DefectiveRobot LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app.

A parent, guardian, gym, or trainer responsible for a minor should ensure that any use of the app and any information entered is appropriate and authorized.

Security

Reasonable efforts are made to design Gym Trainer with appropriate privacy and security considerations. However, no device, storage method, internet transmission, or third-party service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for protecting their device, account credentials, email account, and any information they choose to share.

Gym Trainer may add secure account, synchronization, database, notification, or gym-administration features in a future version.
